Role in the Purification Chain

The high-pressure chamber that holds your delicate RO membrane. Operating under 70 to 100 PSI, this vessel must withstand intense pressure cycles without flexing, micro-cracking, or allowing unpurified water to leak around the internal seals.

Physical & Mechanical Principle

Molded from pure virgin food-grade polypropylene with reinforced circumferential ribs. A heavy-duty threaded cap with dual internal EPDM O-rings ensures an airtight seal that directs pressurized water strictly across the membrane face.

The Second-Hand Re-Threaded Housing

Technicians often install second-hand or hairline-cracked housings taken from discarded machines. Under 80 PSI pressure, these crack open unexpectedly and flood kitchens, ruining wooden cabinetry.

Check the housing body under good light. It should be pristine white, brand new, with sharp unstripped threads and fresh flexible black O-rings.

Disconnect Three Pipes

Mark the inlet pipe on the cap, and the pure and reject pipes on the bottom base.

Insert New Membrane

Slide membrane into the new housing with dual O-ring stem facing forward until it seats fully.

Thread Cap Securely

Verify black O-ring sits flat in cap groove. Screw cap clockwise until tightly sealed.

Reconnect Fittings

Wrap Teflon tape on elbow fittings, screw in, and push 1/4" pipes firmly into place.

Which port on the bottom is Pure water and which is Waste?

The center port on the bottom is always Pure drinking water. The offset port on the side of the bottom is Reject / Waste water.

Do I need Teflon tape for push-fit elbow fittings?

Yes, wrap 4 to 6 turns of Teflon tape clockwise on the male threaded portion of the elbow fittings before screwing into the housing.
